I didn’t build my career following a straight path. I built it by saying yes to opportunities, embracing challenges, and learning how to create value across cultures, industries, and markets.

I was born and raised in Medellín, Colombia, and moved to the United States in 2000 with a desire to expand my education, create new opportunities, and pursue a bigger vision for my life. Like many immigrants, I arrived with ambition, resilience, and a willingness to work hard for every opportunity.

Over the next two decades, I built a career at the intersection of international business, commercial leadership, strategic partnerships, and market development. While earning my MBA in International Business, I continued to grow professionally, developing the skills that would later allow me to lead business expansion initiatives across Latin America and global markets.

Today, as Vice President of Sales, I lead global teams focused on business development, supplier partnerships, product commercialization, and market growth. Throughout my career, I have developed and positioned brands across multiple industries, negotiated complex contracts and representation agreements, built strategic supplier networks, and led commercial operations throughout Latin America.

What differentiates me is my ability to connect people, opportunities, and markets. I enjoy identifying growth opportunities where others see obstacles, building trusted relationships across cultures, and turning ideas into sustainable business results.

Having worked with organizations and partners across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, I have learned that successful business is never just about products or transactions. It is about understanding people, creating trust, and building partnerships that generate long-term value.

Beyond my professional career, I am a proud mother, sports enthusiast, world traveler, and lifelong learner. I believe growth comes from continuously challenging ourselves, staying curious, and pursuing opportunities that align with our values and purpose.

At the end of the day, I am a builder. I build relationships, businesses, brands, and opportunities. And I am passionate about helping organizations grow while creating meaningful impact for the people behind them.

Klaus is Amuco´s president. As a second-generation family firm, he has grown the company from a regional firm to a global enterprise with offices in over four continents. Klaus is passionate about innovation and relentlessly finding better ways to serve his customers. You can find Klaus walking in Hamburg, visiting clients in Egypt or finding new green products from his trusted suppliers in India.

Klaus studied Business Administration and many years after graduating he expanded his knowledge base by attending Harvard and completing its Executive Education training program.

In his spare time Klaus loves horseback riding, golf, and cooking up a feast for friends and family in his BBQ (His steaks are legendary).
